Intensive General English course

This English course is for people who wish to improve their general level of English but who also want an opportunity to do a little extra work in the afternoon to practise and consolidate what they have learnt in the morning session.

With small groups in the afternoon you will be able to practise speaking more and to have conversations with your teacher using some of the English you learn during your course.

In the intensive course, you can also ask your teacher to focus on an area that you are interested in with the other students.

You can start this course on any Monday and choose to study from 1 week to a full academic year.

The lesson times are the same as the general English course but you will also have an extra 90 minutes after lunch.

In addition, teachers will occasionally take you out for a walk or a small tour of Edinburgh so you can practise speaking and conversing in a natural environment.
